Step 2: Recording

You can choose to film on-location in the comfort of your home or opt for an online session via Zoom for added flexibility. Our friendly and experienced interviewer will guide you through the process, making it easy and comfortable to share your stories.

Step 3: Editing

Your memories are thoughtfully brought together as we combine your recorded stories with photos, videos, and music. The result is a heartfelt legacy video that celebrates your family’s history and connections.

Step 4: Delivery

Your legacy video will be delivered as a high-resolution digital file. It will be securely shared with you, making it easy to store, enjoy, and share with loved ones for generations to come.

Meet the Founder

In 2000, as the owner of a video production and marketing company based at Pinewood Film Studios in London, I spent my career capturing important moments for clients. But it wasn’t until I decided to record my own family’s stories that I truly understood the power of preserving personal legacies.

At the time, I was raising a young family and became aware of how much of their heritage, wisdom, and life experiences could be lost over time. My children’s grandparents had stories that stretched across generations—memories of their youth, lessons they had learned, and experiences that shaped our family. I realized that if I didn’t document these stories, they could be lost forever.

So, I did what I knew best—I filmed. I sat down with my children’s grandparents, interviewed them, and carefully recorded not just their voices, but their faces, their expressions, their emotions—the very essence of who they were. Because photographs, as precious as they are, can’t capture a person’s presence in the way that video can.

Throughout this process, I discovered so much about my heritage and family history, especially from my mother—stories and details I would never have known had I not embarked on this journey. It was an eye-opening experience, revealing connections to the past that I had never fully understood before.

Years later, after moving to the USA, I watched those recordings again. Those family members are no longer with us, yet there they were—smiling, laughing, sharing their wisdom in their own words. Seeing them again, hearing them again, felt like bringing them back to life. That moment reaffirmed what I had come to understand: these recordings weren’t just videos—they were a way to keep loved ones close, even when they were gone.

Absolutely. Our packages are flexible, and we’re happy to work with you to customize features, such as adding additional interviewees, incorporating personal media, or adjusting the recording time. Additional costs may apply depending on the customizations.

3. How many people can be interviewed in a single video?

Each package includes a set number of interviews:

• Family Legacy Video (Package 4): Up to 4 interviewees.
• Custom Legacy Film Package (Package 5): Up to 6 interviewees.

Additional family members can be interviewed for a fee. We’ll discuss your needs during the consultation.

4. What if I don’t know what to say during the interview?

Don’t worry! Before filming begins, we’ll discuss your story and provide a comprehensive list of tailored questions. This preparation ensures you feel confident and ready to share your memories.

During the interview, we’ll use thoughtful prompts to guide the conversation naturally, creating a relaxed and comfortable environment that helps you express your stories and reflections.

5. Can my family participate in the video?

Yes! Family participation is welcome, whether through shared storytelling, reflections, or adding their perspectives. The number of participants depends on the package selected.

6. What formats will my legacy video be delivered in?

Your video will be provided in high-quality digital formats (MP4 files) and delivered via USB and secure cloud storage. DVDs are available upon request.

7. How long does the process take?

The timeline varies depending on the package:

• Shorter videos: Typically delivered within 2–4 weeks after recording and editing.
• Comprehensive legacy films: 6–12 weeks depending on complexity and customization.

We will provide a clear timeframe based on your selected package.

8. What about images and videos? Are they included in the service?

We integrate your personal photos and videos into your legacy video, but there are important details to note:

• Photo Scanning: We can scan and include physical photos for an additional fee.
• Digital Media: You can provide digital photos or videos, which we will incorporate seamlessly.
• Tapes and Reels: We do not convert VHS tapes or movie reels, but we can recommend trusted providers. Once converted, you can provide us with the digital files for inclusion.
• Additional Media: Each package includes a set number of photos and video clips. If you’d like to include more, additional fees may apply.

9. Do you offer discounts for groups or communities?

If in-person filming is requested outside of our local service area, travel fees may apply. These will be discussed upfront during the consultation to ensure transparency.

11. What happens if I want changes after the video is completed?

We include one round of minor revisions at no additional cost. If you require further edits, additional fees may apply based on the scope of the changes.
